Wonderful Family Portraits in South Barrington
This spring brought not only sunshine and blossoms, but also the joy of reconnecting with one of my favorite families – the Wienkes. You may remember them from our fall session at The Glen in South Barrington, and I was thrilled when they reached out again for a spring update.

Working with returning clients is always special, and photographing the Wienke family for the second time at their beautiful location at the Glen in South Barrington felt like visiting old friends. With their five beautiful children, the energy was high and the smiles were genuine from the very first shot. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — these kids are amazing in front of the camera! They’re playful, cooperative, and full of personality, which makes my job such a joy. Scroll down for some highlights from our sunny spring session!

This time around, we stayed close to home — right around their house in The Glen. The spring weather could not have been more perfect: warm, bright, and bursting with color. Blossoming trees, soft green grass, and cheerful sunshine created a gorgeous natural backdrop for their photos. There’s something incredibly charming about capturing a family in the comfort of their own environment — relaxed, at ease, and full of genuine connection.

This session beautifully complements our fall shoot — the tones, the wardrobe choices, and the mood are completely different, yet both sets of images tell the ongoing story of this wonderful family. I always encourage families to book seasonal sessions when they can, because the changes in light, color, and mood bring such unique texture to their family albums.

Thank you again, Wienke family, for trusting me once more to capture your growing story. Watching your kids thrive and photographing your connection as a family is a gift I truly appreciate.
