Photographing Saddie has been a joyful tradition for me since the day she was born. Every year around her birthday, we capture special moments to mark her growth and the beautiful milestones in her life. This year, our session in Long Grove had an extra special touch as Saddie wanted to include her grandmother in the photos. The occasion? Her grandmother’s recent birthday, making it the perfect time to celebrate their loving bond.
The session began with the two of them spending some quality time together—doing makeup, painting nails, and reading books. It was heartwarming to see the joy on Saddie’s face as she pampered her grandmother, and equally touching to witness the pride and love in her grandmother’s eyes. The moments they shared were a beautiful testament to their close relationship, and I was honored to capture these intimate and cherished memories.
After we wrapped up the indoor session, we ventured out into the charming village of Long Grove. Saddie, full of energy and excitement, was eager to explore the picturesque surroundings. We took some delightful shots by the historic Mill, where the rustic backdrop added a timeless feel to the photos. Next, we headed to the downtown area, where Saddie posed by the fountain, her bright smile lighting up the scene.
This photo session was not just about celebrating Saddie’s birthday, but also honoring her grandmother’s special day and the deep connection they share. Long Grove provided the perfect setting for these memories, with its quaint charm and beautiful scenery.
