Capturing graduation photos in Chicago is always special—but this session was unforgettable. I had the pleasure of photographing a group of six amazing senior students from Loyola University Chicago: Jovelyn, Kristine, Wardah, Kylie, Kellyn, and Lydia. Each one brought energy, style, and excitement for what’s ahead.

A Memorable Three-Hour Senior Session
We started our senior photo session at Loyola’s stunning Lakeshore Campus on Sheridan Road. The girls posed by the lake, where the morning light added a magical glow. Next, we moved to the stairs in front of the Commons, where they tossed their graduation caps in celebration.

Then, we headed to the Library’s iconic green doors. For Loyola students, those doors are more than just an entrance—they represent both the beginning and the end of their college journey. Three of the girls even brought champagne to pop, adding fun and personality to their graduation photos.

From Loyola Campus to the Heart of Chicago
To make this session even more personal, we took the Red Line train—just like they did countless times during their college years. We captured candid shots inside the train and then exited at State Street.

Our next stops were the State Street Bridge with the Chicago Theatre sign, the Chicago Riverwalk, and finally, the Magnificent Mile. Along the way, tourists and passersby congratulated the graduates, adding to the celebration.

If you’re looking for unique and meaningful senior photos or graduation photos in Chicago, think beyond the classroom. The city offers endless backdrops—and every photo tells a story.
