As a Cary IL family photographer, there are few things I love more than reconnecting with families I’ve known for years. Photographing the Zoellick family again was truly special. I first met Dana and Ryan when I photographed their beautiful wedding at Chicago City Winery, and last year I captured smash the cake for their son’s first birthday. Watching their family grow has been an incredible honor.

or this year’s session, we chose Hoffman Park in Cary, IL, a location that holds deep meaning for them. It’s a place where they used to take long walks with their dogs, and its natural beauty made it the perfect backdrop especially on this gorgeous fall afternoon.

Their kids, Charli and Brooks, made the session an absolute joy. They played together, laughed nonstop, and happily posed with mom and dad. Charli brought her sweet personality to every photo, while Brooks kept everyone smiling with his energy and curiosity. Capturing their connection:siblings hugging, running through the fields, and snuggling with their parents was effortless and heartwarming.

The autumn colors at Hoffman Park were glowing, giving every image that warm, seasonal feel families love for fall portraits. Between the tall grass, open fields, and peaceful trails, we created a beautiful mix of candid moments and classic family portraits.
If you’re looking for a family photographer in Cary, IL, Hoffman Park is one of my favorite locations for relaxed, natural, story-driven sessions. And if you want photos that truly reflect your family’s personality and connection, I’d love to help you create them.
I’m grateful to the Zoellick family for trusting me once again and I look forward to many more memories with them and all the wonderful families I get to meet here in Cary!
