Mikayla’s Princess Moment
From the moment I first met Mikayla and her family during last year’s portrait session, I knew she had a beautiful presence that would shine in front of the camera. So when her mom, Vanessa, reached out to plan Mikayla’s quinceañera photo shoot at Cantigny Park, I was excited to bring her magical vision to life.
Mikayla’s quince theme was “Princess and the Frog,” and yes — she brought along her very own frog! With a dreamy pastel green gown adorned with delicate floral appliqués, a sparkling tiara, and the perfect prop in hand, she fully embraced her royal moment.
We began the session near the willow trees and water pond to capture that soft, romantic feeling inspired by her fairytale theme. Mikayla looked like a true princess, and the natural beauty of Cantigny Park made every frame feel timeless.
Later, we moved through the park’s manicured gardens and elegant stone architecture to add a touch of grandeur to the shoot. Mikayla carried herself with grace and confidence, making the most of every scene.
