Celebrating Amelia: DePaul Senior and Future Northwestern Law Student
Graduating from college is a monumental achievement. I was honored to capturing those moments with professional photos can make the memories last a lifetime. I had the incredible opportunity to photograph Amelia. She is a bright and accomplished senior who graduated from DePaul University and is now embarking on her journey at Northwestern University’s law program. Our photography session in downtown Chicago was filled with iconic backdrops and a lot of fun.

Amelia’s journey began at DePaul University. We started our photo session with the emblematic Chicago Theater as a backdrop. This iconic landmark added a vibrant, classic Chicago feel to the photos. It perfectly captured Amelia’s excitement and pride in her accomplishments.
Chicago Graduation Photos by the Riverwalk and Magnificent Mile
Next, we headed to the Chicago Riverwalk, a favorite spot for locals and tourists. The city’s architecture along the river added elegance and sophistication to Amelia’s graduation photos. The nearby Magnificent Mile, with the tall Wrigley Building, offered historic charm and modern beauty. It was an ideal location for our shoot.
Ending at North Avenue Beach
We concluded our session at North Avenue Beach. The lakeside scenery provided a refreshing contrast to the urban landscapes we had previously captured. The beach was perfect for highlighting Amelia’s relaxed and confident personality. She posed beautifully in her white dress and high heels, and later in her jeans with a Northwestern sweater.
She changed outfits twice during the session. She started with a beautiful white dress that showcased her elegance. Later, she switched to a casual yet stylish look with jeans and a Northwestern sweater. We also captured her in her DePaul gown, symbolizing her academic achievements.
Despite the intense heat and humidity that day, Amelia’s enthusiasm never waned. We worked through the weather challenges. Luckily, the storm held off until late that night, allowing us to complete our session without any interruptions.
A Bright Future Ahead
Amelia’s story is nothing short of inspiring. She completed her four-year degree in just three years. Now, she has been accepted into Northwestern University to pursue her law degree. Her dedication and hard work are evident in every photo. It was an absolute pleasure to capture this significant milestone in her life.
At the end of our photo session, Amelia wore her deceased father’s jacket. This was a heartfelt tribute to his memory. It added deep meaning to her graduation photos.
