Capturing Memories with Diana, Craig, and Gabriela: A Beautiful Fall Morning in Algonquin
I first met Diana and Craig in 2014 when we connected to shoot their engagement in Chicago and then their wedding at Bloomingdale Golf Club. Fast forward a few years, and their lives became even richer with the arrival of their daughter, Gabriela. Since then, we’ve made it a tradition to capture family moments every year, including beautiful Fall Family Photos, and each session brings new joy and new memories to cherish.
This year’s session was set at a picturesque forest preserve in Algonquin on a perfect autumn morning for Fall Family Photos. The light was soft, and the leaves were just beginning to turn, adding golden warmth to the landscape. Gabriela, who has grown so much, was full of smiles and happy to pose in the beautiful setting.
Diana and Craig chose coordinating blue tones for their outfits, each in a pattern of blue and black squares—Diana in a lovely dress, Craig in a matching shirt, and Gabriela in an adorable skirt. They added a touch of red with fresh flowers for Gabriela, creating a stunning pop of color against the forest’s autumn backdrop which was perfect for Fall Family Photos.
As we strolled along the trails and by the Fox River, the quiet flow of water mirrored the calm joy in their family moments. Each year, it’s a gift to capture Diana and Craig’s growing bond with Gabriela during their Fall Family Photos. I can’t wait to see what next year brings and to capture even more of their family’s story in these beautiful seasonal settings.
